Professor Cui and Professor Ye specialise in enabling technologies for new
cell therapies, automated bioreactors, functional biomaterials and
advanced medical devices. Areas of research interest include:
Development of bioreactor technologies for large-scale cell
expansion, tissue regeneration, and secretory extracellular
product manufacture
Implantable biomaterials design and development
Development of in vitro diagnostics (IVD) medical devices
Development and application of new cell therapies
Technology in long-term cryopreservation and freeze-drying
